This Spring, Dare To Bare Your Shoulders

Question: What’s the sexiest way to show a little skin? If you answered with “a low-cut dress,” “a mini skirt,” or “a crop top,” you’re not wrong… but may we suggest an alternative? At Veronica M, we’re feeling the subtle sex appeal of exposed shoulders for spring — and once you see our newest arrivals, we’re sure you’ll agree. This season, it’s all about daring to bare the shoulder! Now, how you choose to let your shoulders say hello is totally up to you. There’s the traditional strapless route, of course, but for some of us, that’s a little tough to pull off. (Do I wear a bra with it? Do I not wear a bra with it? Is my chest too big for this? Is my chest too small for this? The questions are endless.) Then, there’s the look that took the fashion world by storm last summer: the off-the-shoulder silhouette. Finally, there’s the classic tank top, which belongs in everyone’s wardrobe, anyway. Ahead, three ways to rock the bare shoulder trend, courtesy of Veronica M’s newest arrivals. Strapless A strapless silhouette is a classic for a reason — it’s super-sexy and it just screams “summer.” Stock up on strapless tops and dresses now, and we promise you’ll wear them for the next six months straight. One of our favorites is the Cambria Strapless Drop Waist Dress, because its palm leaf print just feels so fresh. In fact, we love the print so much we made it into a tube top, as well! Opt for the Cambria Tube Top if you’re looking for something you can style multiple ways (under a leather jacket, tucked into a mini skirt, with jeans) all season long. If you prefer a more subdued look, check out the simple Veronica M Black Tube Top or our Mariska Tube Top, executed in a neutral snake print that’s surprisingly versatile. And obviously, no spring/summer collection is complete without a strapless maxi dress, like the Del Mar Strapless Dropwaist Maxi Dress. This maxi takes you from the beach to brunch to dinner in one easy piece. Off-the-Shoulder Off-the-shoulder silhouettes have a bohemian vibe that Veronica M can’t get enough of. Take our Paxton Stripe OTS Top, for example. With its smocked neckline and slight bell sleeves, it’s a nod to ‘70s style, especially when worn with flared jeans (yup, flared jeans are back again). It works just as well tucked into cutoffs for a backyard BBQ, too. At night, change into the Kayleen OTS Smocked Dress. The banded waistline means it’s comfortable, but the mini length and OTS neckline make it the perfect choice for a cocktail party or date night. Tank Tank tops are a must-have for spring and summer, and for good reason — they go with everything and they show off your shoulders. Oh, and bonus: You can wear a bra with them (yay!). Get the Cropped Tank in every color (black and navy) to wear with all your favorite shorts and skirts, then throw a fun print into the mix for good measure. We love the Tabitha Ruffle Tank in leopard print. There’s no rule that says you have to choose, though! Why not rock all three silhouettes for spring?
