Suiting Up For Sunny Weather

Normally, the words “summer” and “suit” don’t really go together… unless, of course, you’re talking about a bathing suit (or maybe your birthday suit, depending on how hot it gets… wink, wink). But trust us on this one, the summer suit is one trend you do not want to miss this season. Executed in lightweight linen in a goes-with-everything color — white — it’s pretty much perfect for any event on your summer social calendar. The best part? A two-piece suit adds up to endless outfit options. You can wear the White Linen Blazer and White Linen Shorts together and mix up the vibe by layering it with different tops. Or, sport the blazer on its own. Paired with dark wash jeans, it’s fit for the office or after-hours. The shorts will become your new weekend staple — they look super-cute with a bateau striped tee for a nautical style, or act as a blank canvas to make a printed top pop. Ahead, three fashion-forward ways to wear the summer suit. Wear them together… Of course, we love these separates most when they’re together — they were made to match! They’re perfectly proportioned, too: The blazer has a relaxed silhouette and hits just below the hips, and the shorts feature a comfortable elastic waist and wide-leg fit that goes to mid-thigh. Want to add a wild touch? Wear the suit with the leopard print Tabitha Ruffle Tank. For something a little more low-key, try the Cropped Tank in Black. But feel free to get creative here — everything goes with white. Wear the blazer… It can be challenging to find outfits that feel office-appropriate and seasonally-appropriate in the warmer months. That’s where the White Linen Blazer comes in. The linen material is breathable, so it’s way more comfortable than anything else in your stable of blazers. The tortoiseshell buttons add a stylish touch, too. We love to style this piece with jeans for on Casual Friday (or even the weekend), but it also livens up a business-y pencil skirt or a sheath dress. Wear the shorts… Give your go-to cutoffs a rest with the White Linen Shorts. Their tailored fit makes even the simplest t-shirts look polished, and since they’re slightly high-waisted, they carve a flattering silhouette. Tuck in a ruffled top for a brunch-worthy ensemble (we like the Navy Ruffle Tank), or lean into a more bohemian vibe with the striped Emily Surplice Tank. How would you wear the summer suit: together or separately? Tell us in the comments!
