The Fall Colors We Can't Wait to Wear

Fall, more than any other season, has a color palette all its own. Whereas the summer color spectrum spans across crisp whites, clean brights, and every shade in between, something about the chill in the autumn air (and the beautiful falling leaves, of course) just makes us want to break out the cozy, warm colors. Think golden neutrals, deep jewel tones, and basics for layering. Even though it’s still sunny and 75 degrees at Veronica M’s headquarters in Los Angeles, we’re getting into the fall spirit by sporting the season’s hottest hues. Ahead, the five shades we just can’t wait to wear. Yellow and Mustard OK, we admit it: it’s impossible to make “mustard” sound chic. But put aside the condiment connotations, and mustard might actually be the most fashionable color in your closet. In fact, every shade of yellow is on-trend for Fall 2018; from buttery pastels to muted caramels to warm mustard tones. Get the look with our Yellow Surplice Blouse with Tie (which looks amazing with jeans or camel-colored trousers), our Mustard Yellow Wrap Maxi Dress (which also comes in a mini version — just add boots and cardigan), or our Yellow Floral V-Neck Top with Tie (which is a year-round style staple). Jewel Tones Deep, warm jewel tones — like dark purple, navy blue, deep maroon, and emerald green — always seem to make a seasonal appearance around September and stick around until Spring. The reason? These shades add a warm touch to even the chilliest fall days. Maroon is the perfect color to incorporate into your autumn holiday outfits (Thanksgiving will be here sooner than you think!), since it’s equal parts festive and fashion-forward. Our Leonardo Drop-waist Jumpsuit features just a hint of maroon, while our Paisley Wide Leg Pants offer an explosion of color. Ladies who love a good neutral navy blue moment should grab the Polka-dot Chiffon Halter Top or the Bella Floral Blouse with Front Tie, both of which are Veronica M favorites. Tan and Brown Leather Don’t forget the accessories! For fall, caramel leather and tan suede are super-chic. We suggest pairing the above outfits with our leather Sahara Clutch — we especially love the braided leather accent and fun tassel detail — or the Tan Purse with Suede Tassel, which features an elegant chain strap. Finish off the outfit with brown leather ankle boots, and you’re good to go. Black Yeah, we’re saying it. Black is a year-round color that goes with absolutely everything — of course it’s going to make an appearance in our fall wardrobe! This season, black basics like our Black Faux Wrap Skirt and our Black OTS Blouse look best when worn with cozy accessories. Long cashmere scarves and wide-brimmed felt hats add an extra dose of style to a simple outfit. Denim You might say denim isn’t a color — but we’d beg to differ! Denim pairs well with anything and everything, so our Heather High Waist Mom Jeans by Unpublished are guaranteed to look great with all of your favorite fall colors, from mustard to jewel tones to, yes, basic black.
